Breaking – Apple No Longer Supports Quicktime For Windows and It Poses A Security Risk!
The Department of Homeland Security and a top cybersecurity firm have advised Windows PC users to uninstall Apple’s Quicktime video player immediately after two new bugs were found in the software.
For Years, Apple Quicktime has been installed on PCs with a variety of programs, most notably iTunes. So unless you have a new computer or clean install of Windows, it’s likely your system is at risk.
Removal may vary depending on your version of Windows.
To remove, simply go to your Control Panel in Windows and select “Programs“. Then select “Programs and Features“. On the Programs and Features popup look for Quick Time in the list of programs (newer versions of Windows, you can type “Quick” in the search box). Double Click Quicktime and follow the instructions to remove.
And that’s all she wrote!
